Mike Fitter, who has led Wideband’s sales team with drive and dedication since the company’s inception, will officially retire in April.
Mike joined Wideband in March 2002, bringing with him over 20 years of sales experience in real-time storage solutions, expertise that made him a natural fit for the telemetry industry. From the start, he worked tirelessly alongside Wideband founder Marsh Dougherty to introduce the then-nascent company, with zero prospects, to the broader telemetry community.
Thanks to Mike’s relentless strategy and salesmanship, paired with the innovation and skill of Wideband’s engineering team, the company delivered its first recorders by the end of 2002. Since then, Mike has played a key role in establishing Wideband as a trusted name in mission-critical RF recording solutions.
In recent years, following Wideband’s merger with Delta Information Systems, Mike has been part of an expanded sales team including Carl Lang, Nick Scotto, and Brandi Bice. This team will carry the torch forward, continuing to deliver the world-class service Wideband is known for.
Reflecting on his time at Wideband, Mike says he’s “been blessed to work with some of the best engineers and support people in the industry.” He now looks forward to retirement, where he plans to increase his volunteer work with his church and spend more time with his 17 grandchildren. Please join us in celebrating Mike’s incredible career and wishing him a long, happy, and well-deserved retirement.
