AMPEX has been chosen by a U.S.A.F Test Facility to create a solution for a real-time pilot check on a fast mover. After reviewing the customer’s CONOPS, a custom, low-cost Ampex Data Management (ADM) unit was designed as a production Phase #1 product. The ADM unit was delivered on time and on-site software validation allowed the customer’s data to feed into IADs for a real-time solution. The happy customer has now requested that the ADM unit’s capabilities be expanded to include avionics system monitoring for a Phase #2 product, which has the potential to be installed across the fleet.
AMPEX has the ability to provide quick-turn, low-cost, clean sheet, custom hardware and software builds for a platform’s one-off avionics requirements.
